Gator,

Online gaming by Indian Nations has been contemplated for at least a few years. In 1998 a coalition travelled to Capitol Hill to discuss the matter. In a nutshell, they were advised not to attempt to operate servers on Indian lands. It is not likely Indian offshore casinos will lead to legalized betting in the United States. BTW, many of the Indian casinos are operated by Las Vegas hotel properties and therein lies part of the problem.
