Mile... Don't disagree that the cost of any advance may hinder its acceptance...my point was that firms are targeting the problems and announcing their achievements. If Rambus was the 8 track of memory interfaces (or the last gasp of enhanced SDRAM),this much energy wouldn't be put into it. The Schlumberger article tried to make the cost/benefit argument for chipmakers to buy its equipment. A novice like me can't tell if it was reasonable...I'm just glad they are trying to make it! By the way, glad to see you nibbling. Soon you'll be biting again.
