Eddie <<I was reading a recent pc mag and it appears that a lot of the new machine have the ATI chip>>

ATI continues to dominate the very high end, high power note book market. Basically powerful desktop replacement systems weighing more than 7 lbs. That is a small market which is shrinking and not Neomagic's strength or focus.

Neomagic continues to gain market share. All the new introductions of the new Celeron note books that I have seen from major OEM's are the 128 bit Neo chip. Also the $1500 or less note book market is expanding as well as the "slim" market, both of which dominated by Neomagic.

As far as the new product line is concerned, I am really not sure. If I remember correctly they will be sampling their new chip around June, but I do not know for sure. May be some one else can elaborate.

128 chip continues to do very well and the 256 chip is slowly replacing it. So I am not sure that a newer chip is really being demanded by the market. It would however be good for Neomagic since it will probably carry higher ASP's and higher margin.

I see nothing wrong with the company to justify the recent stock movement. I think long will have their day in the sun.

Regards,

Mani
