Thought this may get a rise out of some of you...grabbed it off of the Broadcom thread. Comments?

"Try the web pages of Vitesse, Applied Micro Circuits (AMCC), Anadigics etc for white pages with differing opinions.

Or just trust me, GaAs won't ever go big time. Its too expensive and too brittle. It offers value but no company will ever be HUGE based on GaAs. I have indirect contacts at some very large research oganizaitons and they dropped GaAs and have moved on to SiGe for this reason.

Besides, from a (public market) investment standpoint, its not that important which technology is best. Just follow the design wins and bookings growth."
