A most interesting point. Thanks. It seems that there is a lot more to consider than what I had originally thought. Most current 3D displays that I know of, make use of a fast shutter to display alternate images to each eye (i.e right "lens" on -- see image, then right lens off, left one on -- see displaced image). This cuts your refresh rate in half and brings on the flicker and headache that we know about.

Your idea of generating the 3D hologram is very interesting. There is another way to your proposal, I think. If the field of view is cut in half so that there is no overlap between the two eyes, you can display each displaced image for each eye simultaneously. V3 has enough juice to pull this off, and if not, use one for each eye in parallel.

The problem is then reduced (mostly) to gather software support for the idea.
