Sorry, Paul:

The "Craig" I meant to refer to was Craig Lawler who had made the statement I referenced in Post 2583, which Ed had answered in his next post.

It never even crossed my mind that you would have made that statement, so I didn't even think about the fact that I was embarking on an unnecessary mission of unwarranted "Craig-confusion". <g> I will endeavor to keep my Craig-references more clearly defined.

So, I will restate my amended paragraph for the record:

"Third, IMHO that the comments made by Craig Lawler and others implying that non-disclosure of additional, specific detail implies that Mr. Stephens is engaging in delaying tactics principally to afford himself the opportunity to collect a few weeks extra salary, are unwarranted and incorrect."

As you pointed out regarding the application of the Altman Prediction model to specific circumstances, it can really only serve as a rough guideline to indicate that a situation bears further examination and its results must be tempered by additional knowledge of all circumstances of the case under study. I would suspect that one would have to be very careful in taking its results too literally without a lot of further inquiry. And, of course, as we have discussed before, it becomes another factor for each person to enter into their own brand of TA-FA-GA,etc. analysis and decision making.

I guess what we have to figure out is whether going up from 5/32 to 7/32 is "a great 40% increase" or "just up 2/32's"<gg>. At least seeing it up another 32nd, as it is today, puts us continuing in the right direction.
