The exclusive was to only allow @home to provide the Internet piece (not open up the cable network to other ISPs) thereby causing AOL to go ballistic.

They still want to spend money on lawyers and lobbying and continue the consolidation to get more captive market. Remember we have the best congress that money can buy. Look at Texas where SBC is headquartered and review the track record.
