Chevron & Tesoro have a duopoly. Oil comes via ship as does a lot of U.S. oil. Hawaii is no further from
oil than is East Coast from Saudi. Hawaii also has the highest gas taxes. Gas at the Hickam used to be
about 3 cents below the civilain market. Regular is $1.22 at Hickam. Hawaii gas has dropped less than 10 % from the days of $20.00 crude. Fortunaely we don't have heating bills and many use limited AC in their homes. This along with walking to work allows me to buy a little MSFT now and again.

On the latest run, I've been shorting puts. Also have a 160 - 220 leap spread. Reduced my entry cost by 1/3 but limits mi upside to a tripple if MSFT blows through 220. I would happily take a 40 point profit in those circustances and not look back.
