David,

A question and a comment:

<<Sony HiFD - Back to the Factory>>

Can anyone confirm this? Sony has said all along that they would concentrate on OEMs so this product could sneak up on the market. You won't see aisle headers with it featured at Frys or Comp USA.

<<Castlewood Orb - Promise but no delivery yet>>

They are shipping quantity...about 5,000 last month but still have a lot to prove. Considering the sensitivity of MR heads to thermal errors this has got to be a huge tech challenge. An interesting one to watch.

Best,
Stitch

Clik ad: The most current issue of "outdoor photographer"
magazine there is a great full-page advertisement by IOM,
for the Clik drive. It shows a "actual size" image of
a Clik disk, tells how cheap they are compared to the storage
cards, and explains how easy it is to use Clik as "Digital Film"
for your digital camera. It also shows a picture of the entire
drive, showing it in use.

The headline of the ad says something like:
"Now that you own a digital camera, what do you use for film?"
