Re: "Thanks for the great news. I just placed an order for the speedy Intel system, which will be shipped "on the test track," and the refrigeration unit which they were hiding under the demo desk. I mean the demo track."

Do you have any evidence to support your claim that the Intel chip was refrigerated and the K7 was not?

Re: "As the K7 is 50-100% faster than the Xeon"

It gets real old but here I go again. Do you have any data to back up this claim about K7 performance? No foils please.... I didn't think so.

Richard - RE: "As the K7 is 50-100% faster than the Xeon, the K7 should go as high as, say $7,000 a piece. Wow! Wow! Wow!"

IF the K7 is 50-100% faster than the Xeon, I really doubt AMD would waste time making any K6x products once the K7 is ready...

Since AMD has committed to the K6 family, I doubt the K7 will be that fast.

Richard -

"As the K7 is 50-100% faster than the Xeon,...."

You know that Intel actually produces the Xeon chip commercially, no?

Thanks !

I just bought a new house next to the Diablo Nuclear Reactor where P G & E engineers assured me they will be able to supply a high enough voltage to power that K7 - all the way to 600 MHz.
