Jenna, I was reading a book of interviews with traders and one of the traders was a woman who said she had studied piano forever and thru that had a real sense for patterns. Also, we are very tenacious types, aren't we? It takes that to become a good artist or musician or doctor. Before I started getting interested in the stock market I was an introspective poetic person who had very little connection to the outside world. When I started trying to understand stocks, I saw that everything effected the stock market and was drawn outside of myself. I started looking around: I remember one of my early stocks was outdoor systems, so I started noticing billboards. I owned a lot of retailers and noticed my companies everywhere I went. It was like: "Wow, I'm a part of this." A big part of it for me is that it's a huge neverending intellectual puzzle. It keeps the left side of my brain engaged. It's exciting and fun. And when you get one right, it's such an amazing rush!!!! I'm so happy to have found you and the thread (thank you Adelle). It is wonderful to be able to share this passion! Emily
