Yes ,, to listen to the BS one would think that there is some validity to that theory, however I see not one shred of actual evidence that shows them posing some type of threat to us...
And you would have to do a rediculous act of stretching the truth to justify the fact that we are still bombing them every single day after putting them back to cave days in 1990... Perhaps if they can still find some sticks they could fashion a slingshot and fire a pebble at us..

Putting them back to "cave days"? You might want to ask the Kurds and Shiites how lethal Saddam's "sticks and stones" were after the Gulf War. And while youre at it, ask our pilots how they feel about those slingshots that look a lot like AA batteries...

Im divided on the Iraq issue. It seems to be an endless quagmire as long as Saddam remains in power. It is, however, in our very real national interest to declaw him as long as he is threat to his (oil rich and American friendly) neighbors. And lets not do the typical victimization routine here, crying about the suffering Iraqi people and sniffling about starving babies and what not. I do believe 10 years ago those same people were cheering Saddam's "naked aggression" if I may use your term since you brought it up. And it is Saddam's own actions, and continued actions, that are responsible for the US and British daily sorties. Place blame where blame is due. As to Serbia, well again, if anyone deserves the title "naked fascist aggressor" it is Serbia. Or are you sympathetic to their "blood and soil" trash talk?

rrman,

Tell that to the Israeli's who had to deal with daily bombardments from the Golan Heights and Lebanon until they captured them in the '70s and '80s.

As for threats to the US, tell that to the folks at the World Trade Center and to the numerous attacks perpetrated against US citizens SOLELY because they are Americans.

As for Kosovo, unfortunately I find myself agreeing with you. I don't believe we're on a proper course in Kosovo and we're likely to find ourselve embroiled even deeper as we look for an easy and face-saving way out of the Balkan morasse.

Let them kill each other until their so bloodied that they finally learn to live with one another.

There is no way you can force two cultures possessing undying hatred for one another to live peacefully until they each have discover how much they are losing through their warfare.

Y'know rrman... I hear you B*tching and Moaning quite a bit about things you don't like. I would like to see you whine less and propose alternative solutions more. Tell us how you would set the world right.

Regards,

Ron
