I have been studying TA in depth and buying books as fast as I can read them. And from my brief exposure, it seems deceiphering TA is largely judgment, intuitiveness, and experience. And I don't see how a computer can do this. Maybe "Deep Blue", the supercomputer.
I use IQ charts for $24.95 month + $12 real time fee and am real pleased!

Bankshot,

You should go review the Saturday morning exchange between Glenns and Mard Conway on Yahoo (this morning). Sounds like Mard had same problem. Read what happened.

BS< I too have been working with the program over the week end. I'm running it side by side against WOWdt Cable version, using DTN (currently using 2 boxes off a sat feed)
I too have had TS as far back as the 2.7 version. It been on a shelf for most of time, not that I haven't put it on one of my machines now and again. I was really hoping this time would be different, but .. I'll give it a LITTLE time. I'm looking over the program as I type, so won't post till late PM

1.What has been your experience so far.
... My thought was to try it for Futures and S&P trading (a start)
... So far, The portfolio list in the charting software is cumbersome
... Downloading is the pits, what's with all the greyed out formats
... Where's the old manually place and built Icon bars
...

2. Any luck with the downloader for tic.
... So far I've had to use the version 4 DL from Omega site for tic data.
3. How about the scanner (they call it radar)
... They told me there was a portfolio manager in the radar, How do you enter positions?, Oh I think I see how to enter the positions, but ROR, Trade Reports, (a real Port Manager) who writes these things
...
4. Have you seen the Probability Map, I don't know is it me :) or is that a picture of a rocket flame saying nothing.

Well it's been a couple few hours and I have to say, so far I'm not impressed at all.
I have LiveWire on a back machine that may be just as good for trade tracking.
I have WOWdt on the main machine for charting and scanning
I have the MBTrading platform on the 2nd for executions
I'll work with this new version for some system work and futures for a bit (as I only paid the 250 up front for a trial) but why do I have the feeling this is the same ole same ole
BS, you ought to give the WOWdt program a try, with your time in I'd like to know your opinions and that on other programs
