I think the last few big internet splits overcame the post-split selling and then kept going. I'm holding an April 130 call - soon to be two calls - and I'd like to see it keep going :-) Carolyn S.

SB2K: i guess you need to know your goal: make a fast buck now or make a bigger buck in 6 months, etc. Check Mr. Gardner's post for one opinion on where DCLK is going. maybe sell some now and let the rest double on the split and, i presume, another gap up after the earnings report on 4/22. i think in another year this stock will be a genuine blue chip, solidify its #1 market/mind share, making big revenue gains, and MAKING A PROFIT.

Also, if you think the internets are doomed to crash soon, you would be right in thinking very, very short-term. However, take it from someone who bailed out of the leaders too soon -- I foolishly sold eBay at 42 and 107, America On Line under 25, Yahoo! under 50, Amazon.com under 50 -- the long-term view is preferable. Sure, profits are nice, but to ignore the reasons why I bought the leaders just for a few bucks was unwise. If you can sleep on it, you may be better off. Rip Van Winkle would have done better than me over the last 10 months.
