Hi Ron - I need to check the total investment by AFCI but according to the article below, AFC does have "an investment" in Cerent Corp..

From the article:"...In addition to aggregators like the RBOX, multiservice nodes based on Sonet ring architectures are another expression of the aggregation trend. Cerent Corp., a two-year-old company based in Petaluma, Calif. (AFC is a neighbor as well as an investor), is pursuing aggregation efforts on that level with its Cerent 454 multiservice Sonet transport platform..."

I need to call investor relations to find out the total amount invested (if anything). Their 1997 annual report does not mention any Cerent investments nor does their March 1998 10K or their Nov. 1998 10Q.

Their 1999 10K is due out very soon. I would expect there should be some mention in this report if indeed AFC holds any interest in Cerent Corp..

I will post anything I hear from AFC when I call them but it would be quite positive if they did make an investment in Cerent Corp. as the article suggests.
