Eric, I just listened to an interview of Jim McCamant of the Medical Technology newsletter on www.audioinvestor.com . Mr. McCamant is a long-time follower of biotech stocks. He noted that small caps are at a low valuation level similar to the 1974 market.

He said "buy and hold" a basket of small/mid cap stocks, and then hold for long term for substantial returns. But what's really funny- and he was referring to biotech stocks when he said this, he said many of the small/mid cap stocks are so cheap that a public company cannot bid upon them because they would have to bid 4x or 5x the current price-unacceptable in the shareholders eyes! Thus he said that these biotech companies will become more likely takeover targets humorously enough only after they move off of the bottom and first double their current prices.

I wonder if the same logic applies by analogy to AFCI here- i.e. AFCI will be a more likely takeover target after it reaches the $14-15/share level....
