Seems to me that Phillips could put a quick end to all this by offering a price like $30. It would wrap up quickly and everyone would be happy. All that stuff about ousting the BOD and legal machinations related to hostile takeover must be expensive, in addition to costing them the company they want. They should offer a little extra and we could all kiss and make up, and everyone would be able to get on with things.

Since we're posting our favorite stocks to buy with our VLSI proceeds

Check out ALU. 1998 EPS = .72
PE = 16
Price:book = .88
Price:sales = .17

I've been accumulating this one and am not touting it. It fits my investment style nicely and, in my opinion, is currently undervalued. They own Fragrance.com and may IPO it soon (thus, some potential for marked upside). Even without the IPO, this appears to be a good company with great prospects. Financials kind of remind me of VLSI last fall.

Caveat: Do your own DD.

Be well
