I was not on it long enough to turn on the Level II but I did see it on a friend's account and I thought it did look pretty good. I have a separate (QCharts) level II source which though it is more expensive I need a reliable source of level II. It looks as though the short availability is pretty good on ETrade. Thanks for the info, I still have an ETrade account if I see some shorts on it then I might fund it. They have to fix this downtime issue, it almost seems like they could really be sued for some of the recent instances.
