Yamner didn't have NETE last week or SEVL the week before. Since they are small they are at the mercy of their clearing house PERSHING.

Tabler, How do you like the direct order entry, does it make a big difference? I'm thinking real hard about Yamner, for shorts you need more than one source.

Tabler, I took a look at your Watley site and am very interested. I left Datek a week ago (after they stopped shorting EFAX!) and am already having online withdrawal pains. Datek was excellent 6 mos ago but now you can't even short NAVR or BLFY (they have been off limits since their first run up). Anyway, I always wanted more than one account In addition to Yamner) and this Watley looks like the ticket. It looks like the Ultratrader Level II gives you all of the trading features without some of the data feeds. I have QCharts now and I am staying with it as a separate feed. I have been in situations where my feed was not reliable and I think that was worse than the trading going down (at least the panic was worse). How have the shorts been this last week and how is its reliability?

Thanks

Re: brokers. What I'd love to see is the ability put your funds on deposit at a central clearing house to which ALL brokers subscribe so that we could choose any broker for any trade. It would work like VISA or MASTERCARD does as a service to clear transactions between merchants and banks, only this would clear trades and positions between brokers and a central bank/clearing house. Require brokers to commit all available shares for borrowing to a central inventory. If shares are available anywhere, they are available to any trade.

Just dreaming....
