Re will gold go up on this crisis?

Hi DD,

I think gold will go up, but I am not sure you can separate the reason between war, Y2K, oil prices, professional shorts covering and establishing long positions, weakening US dollar, etc.

Unfortunately, I see this 'crisis' starting with bombing and spreading to an ugly ground war ... So much for video game wars without casualties ... BTW, whatever happened to arming 'our side' and letting them sort it out themselves?

:-((

John

NATO says Milosevic has a few hours to relent

<< Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevi has only hours left to relent in his defiance of a Kosovo peace deal before NATO military action becomes inevitable, a NATO official said on Sunday.

He said NATO Secretary General Javier Solana was consulting allied prime ministers and the United Nations on possible military action. The alert time for allied aircraft to strike had been reduced from 48 hours to ''a matter of just a few hours,'' he added. >>

Nothing like telling them when you are going to strike so that they can warm up their equipment!
