Using two brokers so you can close a position in one account that was created in another account, don't you really end up with two opened positions, one long and one short? Sounds like you have more risk with that, in addition to keeping up with margin requirements in both accounts.

This sounds like you are trying to box positions. If both accounts were with the same broker, you could ask them to close out your position by applying the trade from one account to the other account. However, with two different brokers, I don't see how you could really do this.
