FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (March 23) BUSINESS WIRE -March 23, 1999--IRT
Industries (BB:IRTG) announced today the continuation of its
negotiations with Thinkbid.com.

The company expects to formally announce its acquisition of
Thinkbid.com (http://www.thinkbid.com), by the end of March.

Thinkbid.com recently went online with its latest venture,
Thinkfind.com thinkbid.com, an innovative Internet
meta-search engine that searches across the major search engines,
namely Yahoo (Nasdaq:YHOO), Infoseek (Nasdaq:SEEK), Lycos
(Nasdaq:LCOS), Alta Vista (NYSE:CPQ), Excite (Nasdaq:XCIT), and
Hotbot.com. It then categorizes those results from best to worst and
presents those results to the user without the user having to go to
each individual search engine.

Thinkbid.com management believes that this latest addition will make
their auction website the most functional online auction site on the
World Wide Web. From Thinkbid.com, a user can now not only buy and sell
merchandise, but also quickly and effectively search the web for any
content they need. The main page of Thinkbid's "ThinkFIND" meta-search
contains a variety of useful links to get the web surfer started on
using the great features of the Internet.

Thinkbid.com, Inc. (http://www.thinkbid.com), is a leading online
Internet person-to-person auction web site similar to Ebay, Inc.
(Nasdaq:EBAY) and Ubid (Nasdaq:UBID) but is significantly different
than these other sites because it charges a nominal fee only after an
item is sold.

Thinkbid.com also plans to broadcast live auctions over the World Wide
Web using a unique free software package entitled Auction Alive based
on the software professional stock traders use to trade on the stock
market. (http://www.thinkbid.com/live.htm).

The officers of Thinkbid.com are extremely confident that the
acquisition agreement with IRT Industries will close by the end of the
month.

NOTE: Safe Harbor Statement under the Private Securities Litigation
Reform Act of 1995: This release contains forward-looking statements
that are subject to risk and uncertainties, including, but not limited
to, the impact of competition, continued acceptance of the company's
products and services, fluctuations in stock price and liquidity,
fluctuation operating results and other risks detailed from time to
time in the company filings with the Securities and Exchange
Commission.
