unless some news came over the wire to perhaps cause the sudden drop i'm just gonna figure some profit taking is going on. However, given the very good news that DID come out (as i noted earlier) i'm just lining up behind the general 'volatility' argument and figuring this thing will cross and stay above 200 this week. So there!

EXDS and ATHM also dropped drastically in the last 1/2 hour. Did some analyst put out a sell call on the internets?

Someone I know knows some market makers (direct link huh?)- He says MMs ratchet down the price in quite similar fashion to loosen weak hands, gathering more shares, for when they may well need them in the near future.

I don't want to quarrel with anyone, but what is wrong with that statement? "DCLK is the Cisco of the internet".
Just think:

In 1990 , 1991, you could not convince people to buy CSCO. In 1994 it had tanked to less than 1/2 its value in 1993. No body wanted it. Bill Berger of the berger funds was scooping it up in the 20's pre multiple splits . If an analyst said then "CSCO is the INTEL of networking", the response would have been "That sounds a little exuberant" :-) Right?? Exuberant My A## !! Look at the chart of CSCO and see what $20,000 (one thousand shares)would have become in 4 yrs.

Now every body is tripping over eachother to buy CSCO.

Nobody knows the future. One makes a educated guess based on known facts. The facts we know today are

CSCO leader in networking
INTC leader in CPU's
MSFT leader in software
AOL leader in ISP and content and ecommerce and and and.
DCLK leader in internet advertising !!!

They have compition, NETG and 24/7 . So do all the other leaders.

Think simple and get rich don't get too complicated. I don't know where the stock price is going to be 2 yrs from now. All I know is that Internet is real. Internet advertising is in its infancy, and DCLK is here to stay and grow VERY VERY BIIIIIIIG !!.

Save this note and a chart of DCLK and DELL and I will wager that DCLK will will far outperform DELL in returns dollar for dollar over the next 2 to 5 yrs.

Michael Dell thinks so. He has become a big venture capitalist like Paul Allen, i.e Money from the sale of his DELL stock into other companies in new technologies

I can go on and on , but you get the gist

Good luck and best wishes

Robert

>>>> On Jan 20th DCLK was apprx $100. It touched $200 today. I sold the last of my shares today at $190.5 and then saw it keep going up.It finally gave up on a upside exhaustion. I started selling last thursday and sold majority of my stock by friday close.
This is too far too fast. I hope to get back in lower , if not, well not a bad ride from $20 to about $170 in 6 months.
Where is that DELL-HEAD Mohan?? Getting his head handed to him. The DELL decline has just begun.Dell will NEVER see its old highs ever again. DELL is the Short of the century.

Robert

It happened to some other stocks. For example EXDS went from 145 to 132.
