Hi Lonepine, 1) There would be no steam generated from 535 degree F formation water (i.e. no boiling) until its pressure was dropped to something in the order of ~ 750 psi. 2) I do not know enough about the drilling program, pressures encountered in various horizons, casing\liner details, etc. to be able to comment intelligently on this, Lonepine. I'm sorry. [ My opinion is however that the liner was likely required and run for other reasons, but....???? ] Later, grayhairs
