It starts there. There are a lot of stocks that come up as stocks that can have explosive price movement, but then that list is narrowed down further by rather traditional fundamental analysis that I have been doing for decades. I tend not to get involved with small caps stocks [some exceptions] and I don't care to talk to lying managements. I have enuf bias, i don't need managements [whose bias is always positive]. i can get what I need fundamentally from the numbers, distributors, customers, competitors..and yes, even Message Boards like this. But VTAR(tm) is "Volume Trade Analysis Research" And here is what I usually send with the first issue of the newsletter: "VTAR™ [Volume Trade Analysis Research™] started as an institutional level service [it still is] whereby portfolio managers would ask me questions such as " I want to buy [sell] 250,000 GM…should I do it now or later?" I would analyze GM, how it traded, its specific volume parameters, how it typically traded vs. other auto stocks, what was going on with the auto group, the market and then tell that portfolio manager WHEN to place that block on her/his trading desk using my own proprietary analytical tool, VTAR™ which is a volume-based analytical tool. The service developed into a more aggressive study actually suggesting to portfolio managers stocks that exhibited the kind of trading characteristics that could usually be relied upon to produce profits in a 6-8 week time frame and that is where this service is now-except it is now also adapted via the Internet for individual investors. We typically deal in large cap NYSE issues and Medium-Cap and Large Cap NASDAQ issues." Hope that answers- AXXel
