To All, Put ramblings: 1. Yes, things are going my way, but I have to bitch about something. Here's my complaint. Put premiums are not expanding the way they should given how right my put picks have been. Shoot, I'm barely profitable on Freddie Mac and it has fallen pretty good. Sanmina is down for the count and I am losing money on that one. It's not a fortune, but just the principle of it all. When I'm right, premiums ought to expand like crazy. <g> Oh, well, it's working fine for the bear credit spreads in the maximum income portfolio and I would be complaining about that if it wasn't. <g> 2. Lilly has been a pretty nice winner. I have nearly a triple on my puts there in a fairly short period of time. 3. American Home Products has obviously not gotten the word that I have puts on them and it has gone up against all the mojo I've been sending through the stratosphere at their stock. <g> 4. I was disappointed that Compaq couldn't hold under $30. I think Retards on Parade now consider it a value stock. This one isn't a value until it hits $11, and I wouldn't buy it then, at least not as long as Herr hassenPfeiffer is in charge. Still the best put stock of this down cycle for me. I sold my last April 35s earlier today and have nothing but a mixed third of April 30s and July 35s left. Still hate it, but there isn't much left vs. some of the higher priced stocks. 5. My rolldowns on CDWC are now in the money. This has been a terrific winner and I see no reason for it to stop. 6. Mexico Fund went down a bit, but it is like pulling teeth. "C'mon, they urinate in the Corona." Tastes good, anyway. <g> 7. Dell has been great. I blew it at the top by not adding to my positions, giving mgt. too much credit due to past slick tricks at eps time, and a bit of gross cowardice on my part. But it has worked out pretty well, anyway. 8. Chaste broke $80. My understanding is that employees who got stock for bonuses hit some point where they are allowed to dump the turkey and they plan to do so. 9. Home Depot is coming back to Daddy. 10. Don't mention the name Chuckles Scwab in my presence. <g> I don't know what keeps this pos up here. 11. MU. See #s 10 and 7. I chickened out a bit at the top on this one, too. But it is doing o.k.
