*Building K Time* Jon, I'm all in favour of Q! Time rather than Swatch Time. But somebody has to actually do it. It will be a competition for popularity and most people using it. Good suggestion. Let's hope Q! gets onto it and loads up cellphones with Q!Time [TM]. Since the USA is still the dominant Web user, there is a good chance of it hooking people than some obscure village called Biel in Switzerland, which at least has the merit of being considered a relatively neutral and inoffensive country. QTime seems most likely to get popular appeal by just continuing with GMT and the dateline as they are. Use 1000 somethings per day starting at 00.00 GMT. I know you don't consider this normal, but let's face it, people are not normal - some have two K's in their name for a start [I suppose you've laughed riotously at name jokes related to that so I won't offer new ones]. Others of us are abnormal in other ways. Few, if any, are actually normal. Just as not all CDMA is created equal, all people are not created equal [despite the glib United Nations Declaration of Human Rights] and all time is not created equal. Swatch is off to a good headstart with the imprimatur of MIT's guru Nicholas Negroponte, a pal of SurferM. We better get moving if we are going to have some competition for Webtime. Mqurice @171swatch.com Time is one of the big things left to metricate. Here's a chance to do it and make Q! a better and wealthier place. GMT is quite inoffensive these days since Britain is not considered too much of an overbearing world power and it has historic interest and conventional use. Most of us would have trouble finding Biel on a map unless it's written in. The letter Q is already looking quite like a clock, with a little thingy at the bottom which could go round and round keeping time. Hay! I'm not kidding. This is serious. The WirelessKnowledge symbol looks a bit like a clown with a pointy nose, but maybe it is a sundial replica and they are already on to it. It has a Q around it.
