Thanks Stitch.

I see your point and I do agree with your comments. I am however fairly optimistic regarding Quantum's future and specifically their stock price appreciation. It was very encouraging to see and hear M. Brown state successively in both the Conf Call and in a CNBC interview that their earnings are on track this quarter. I think he would lose all credibility if they were to warn at this point. And I believe that the new diversified areas they are trying to move into will lessen Quantum's susceptibility to DD industry slumps. All in all, things are looking pretty positive, although perhaps "solid" might be stretching it a bit.

Best Regards,
Kevin

<<As the Net takes over much of the work previously performed by PCs, we're seeing
another interesting development: a proliferation of new
personal computing devices, personal digital assistants,
Web-enabled TVs, screenphones, smart cards, and a host of
products we have yet to imagine. One market research firm
predicts that sales of non-PC Internet devices will surpass
PCs within five years." >>
Think comments like these by IBM's Gerstner have had much to do with the disk drive malaise the last few days?
