Miningco.com specializes in 'guides', real people that provide content expertise and advice in subject matters. The idea was that there's so much on the web, and even though you've got search engines, people still get frustrated trying to find valuable resources. So miningco filled that gap. I don't know what their page views, or subscriber base is, and I don't have projections...might be something in the Edgar filing, but I didn't research it. I do know that the price was revised (about double from the first numbers). I've never bought an IPO on Day One... really I'm a little more inclined to see how they do after about 1 month or even 6 months. Seems to me if they're going to be around for awhile.... it'll be OK if I don't get in on day 1. (it'd certainly be nice to get in on one these pre-market though). And yes small float is nice. As I recall this is the size that Amazon started with. Laura

---OT---- I bought some of the Miningco IPO today... just a small amount (200 shares). I guess it held up pretty well.... got some decent press from Renaissance Capitol in press release.... biz.yahoo.com this was my first time with an IPO... and it wasn't too expensive (although I bought on the high side of the day... like in the first 10 minutes) .... my screen started blinking... and I said oh my god, it's available... what's the price.... not too bad... I'll go for it so... we shall see... I don't expect miracles... right away <G> L
