Hey guys, Pkelly sure swings a big line ROFLMAO. Looks like he picked up a whole bunch of shares at 3 bucks, so I guess at the time he was worth 150K or so. Now he's a big fish swinging half-a-mill or so. I'm sure all the market makers are quaking in their boots. Watch out HMQT LEHM & RSSF, the Paul Bunyan of speculation is trading that mega-cap Omega.

I just upgraded to v.2000 and eventually I got everything running fine. There were some annoying problems though. Server hung everytime I tried to download more than one exchange (to refreash the CD). This was overcome by downloading each one at a time (i.e. NYSE, AMEX, NASDQ, Indexes, Options). NYSE for example took approx 4 hours with cable modem. My data seems clean on all the securities that I've been TAing on so far.

Other problem is that you cannot use real-time internet feeds if you intend to keep a larger portfolio of EOD prices. Signal on-line supports only 500 symbols and PC Quote supports 1000. Given that my investment universe is every US stock with options (approx 2800 stocks + 60k plus related options)I cannot use real-time on say 100 issues if I have all of these EOD issues in my portfolio. If you have more than 1000 symbols in your portfolio, Server will only get the first 1000 in alpha order. There is no way of setting which securities you want in RT and which are EOD. I downgraded from Hyperfeed2000 to PC Quote Level A because of this.

While I admit that I must have called Tech Support about 5 or six times on several issues it is now working just fine. Keep in mind that this product is radically different than v.4 and I suspect that some of the people bashing the new version (other than the shorts) are simply adverse when it comes to change or technically inept. There is usually a way around every problem. Sure, OMEGA should have informed customers of a lot more of the issues (there are over 100 knowledge base articles on the new version on their website - a MUST READ) but this version is superior (especially OptionStation) and is well worth the perseverance.

Best of luck.
And no, I've never traded this stock.

As far as your post regarding the money you made trading this stock, well .. good for you and congrats !!! It wasn't really what the hell we were talking about anyway, if you had really taken the time. I could really care less what OMGA trades for, I don't or haven't traded it (I guess ... yet :) But I got to tell ya after reading some of the post over there, I'm glad I paid my lifetime fee here. Too many jitterbugs running around over there touting "Oh how much money I made today" ...
Anyway, Nice start, KID :) puff puff :) Tell me, you the kind that cries "Not Fair, Not Fair, It their fault" when a trade goes against you ?
That's right, You never have bad trades. Go get'em tiger.. run.. run
