Luc, not that it matters much, but where did fair value go out at this afternoon?

L.T.

I noted the Gold Eagle commentary. One of the stocks posted is Opawica, listed on the TSE. It is mentioned as a result of its solid technical chart.

While I cheerfully own up to the fact that I have no expertise whatsoever in mining, I do know who some of the quality players are up here. David Comba is one of the best geologists around, and he is providing leadership in this play. The boys are drilling in close proximity to Kidd Creek, which is a legendary base metal deposit that has been heavily mined for decades. Falconbridge and Barrick Gold acquired private placements in the company recently and drilling has just started. I took a jaunt up to Timmins with a bunch of the boys to hear the story, and it has merit. As with all mining plays, it's speculative. The play is intelligently promoted (as opposed to the normal "hype and hope" routine) which is refreshing.

I don't normally comment on mining plays as I consider most of them pure madness, and I prefer to stay in my own backyard where it is easy enough to lose money. That said, this one has intelligent geological detective work upon which the play is based. All drill play situations are bets against unimaginable odds in terms of the probability of hitting a decent deposit. Some provide better odds than others.

Best, Earlie
