Hi Keith,
Nothing should change in the AIM program when you do a split except for the number of shares and the price of the stock. Portfolio Control should stay the same as well as cash.
By the way the only time you should change the Portfolio Control with Newport is when you do a Vealie. Other than that the program will take care of it by itself.
Keep up the good work and attitude. We may have to have a Billy Graham award at the first AIM convention.
Bernie

Hi Keith, Try Coffee beans and Sambuca instead of seeds and water!

To account for a split or a mutual fund distribution, first go to the Newport screen in question. Next click on the Maintenance button. Where it shows the current number of shares, change it to the new amount. Save the change and all should be well. Newport will put a vertical line on the Line Graph for this week and will recalculate the 26 week Moving Average line and start plotting the new price range with next week's update.

If you are already using the new, split adjusted price, then you are done. If not, then exit the stock screen and use the Maintenance Window and FIX A PRICE to change this week's price to the new, lower one.

Nothing happens to Cash Reserve unless you are adding in interest earned or some other item. You use this same window to add in Interest or deduct for commissions, taxes, etc.

Hope your friend escapes the Hospital asap! I've scheduled myself in on May 21st to become the Headless AIMsman!

Best regards, Tom
