I expect the stock to rise on its own merits. A buyout is extremely unlikely. The spin-off probably won't generate any huge rise - everyone already knows about that. It is old news. If the spin off results in an IPO with shares being issued to stockholders, that will be more favorable because we can cash in on the internet craze. If there is an IPO that just sells off a chunk of the company, that would be less favorable. It would generate cash for CPU, which they already have a lot of and probably don't have a great use for.
