IMHO, The major problem with allot of these CEO's like Lou Gerstner is that they do not even use a computer on a daily basis. I have heard that many CEO's are proud that they do not even have a PC on their desk.

I can guess that M. Dell is much different. MD has grown up on computers. We are working on a new house that will use home automation. We will need one computer to run the house, one computer for the home office and one in the kitchen. We will also have a network hub so that we can plug the laptop into net around the house. The computer in the future will be just like TV's. How many TV does the average person have in the house???? A good TV these days cost over $1K, why not get a PC/TV??? A PC already has HDTV resolution???

Hello Gregory,

RE: The PC is dead: IBM......

I think IBM's main concern should be that the mainframe will eventually be replaced by the high end server, made by you-know-who! GO DELL!

Dell is up about 7% in Europe - may be another decent day today.
