i have been waiting for ibm to say something, anything. this is the first time i've seen them say anything about rdram usage. this could be an important piece of info. copied from another thread.

does this mean that rdram will be 80% of total dram volume? 20%? or?
any rdram product announcement from ibm will be huge.

Q18. How big will RDRAM be in 1999?

A18. The implementation schedule and market acceptance of RAMBUS remains uncertain. There is no doubt that in certain circumstances and applications RAMBUS will be an important technology. Its overall acceptance will ultimately be a factor of performance and related price premium. Our current projection is that 1999 usage of RAMBUS will be 20% less than total DRAM volume.

the stock market is a very funny place. the only place where people get upset over occasional sale prices. if it was groceries or a favorite wine, they would buy cases.
