JAPANESE DIGITAL VIDEO DISC MARKET TAKES OFF TOKYO - Japan's digital video disc (DVD) market started to grow in earnest in the current business year ending March, the Optoelectronic Industry and Technology Development Association said in a survey. The estimated value of domestic DVD devices jumped 176% in the year, while DVD-ROM drive output advanced 147.4% and that of DVD players 91.1%. o~~~ O
