Merrill Lynch had some interesting comments. The analyst believes that MU is trying to use its growing advantage in tech to force out weaker players (especially Taiwanese and smaller Korean houses), similar to what occurred last year. Result was a price war. The analyst quetions whether the weaker players will drop out or simply respond with additional capital spending. He expects DRAM pricing to follow last spring's pattern, but likes it for the long term.<g>
