John,

I'm surprised we allowed a holocaust to happen again in Europe in 1994. A lot of voices that continually remind us of the holocaust were very quiet when Muslims were being "ethnically cleansed."

Sometimes, you need a U.S. military or a NATO. It's always a complicated issue when you have to sacrifice lives to save others. Here is an article from 1995 that may alter your view.

John, The Foreign Policy of the Clinton-Gore Administration is haphazard and disfunctional- 300,000 people died in Bosnia-2,000 people have died in Kosovo so far- not millions. We sent peacekeepers to Bosnia, and now we are actually militarily intervening in Kosovo.

Look further south to the Sudan. There over 2,000,000 people have died in a savage civil war, and the UN Agency UNICEF recently confirmed ("Hard Evidence") of an active slave trade by Arab slave traders in Africans.

If we'll intervene to avenge 2,000 deaths in Kosovo, does that mean we'll proportionately use nuclear weapons to avenge 2,000,000 dead Africans in the Sudan???

And understand the historical significance of Kosovo to the Serbians. There from 1100 ad to 1600 the Serbs fought a savage 500 year war with the invading Turks, and thusands of Serbian Knights died in defense of their Country. Even if Albanians are the ethnic majority in Kosovo, recognize that some of the Serbs most cherished monasteries and war monuments in the war aginst the invading Turks are in Kosovo.

The Serbians are not going to vacate 600 years of Serbian history just because the US sends a few bombers over Yugoslavia. Boris Yeltsin summed it up tonight when he said that on this issue that "Russia is morally above the US".

Look deeper and I think you'll see the real reason behind the US intervention in the Balkans....
