Micron article on Bloomberg today. Note the pricing and pc comments.

quote.bloomberg.com

Oh, and Claude Hazan of C.E. Unterberg Towbin says that"high-performance microprocessors aren't selling well," specifically the PIII where the systems use about twice the memory as a Celeron-based system.

Now, how does he know that about the PIII sales?

Skeets, These guys are amazing. One thing I can see. Losing their shirts on PCs and knowing that the services money is not real, Beemer is getting very aggressive on businesses where they might actually make some money some day. They are reportedly giving Oracle fits and have just partnered with EMC. The latter kind of makes the Dell deal look a wee bit less unique. Maybe that moron web site will now start predicting that IBM will take out EMC. <g>

The no more channel stuffing reminds me of something I read: "Go ahead and kick the ball, Charlie Brown. I won't pull it out from under you again." Lucy Van Pelt.

One good thing, I now have the real answer to the question so many people posed on this and the Dell thread, "if PCs are doing so badly, how come all the major cos. are making so much money selling them?" <G> Of course, the gullibulls would just say that IBM is not a major co.
