John:

Was it a case last week of someone not seeing the "good-'till-close" note scrawled across the top of those buy tickets? (g)

John:

"Cue the penguins",.... I'm still laughing. (g)

I'm with you with respect to the desperation implicit in those "reiterated buys". I'm also grinning. These analysts are under the gun from a pile of semi-panicky institutions that are lined up at the "filing" wicket. Unfortunately for them, even my kid's hamster can see the PC/semi cycle descending the right hand side of the hump. All the baloney is for naught when the glut spreads from Dram, to micros to motherboards, which is now the case.

So far, the professional selling has been disciplined, but I sense the early stages of "a need for speed" in attaining the exits. The deteriorating numbers across the whole sector is adding impetus. There is a cost that must be borne when normal "discounting" of declining fundamentals is absent. I suspect that the invoice is currently being presented for "full payment within 30 days".

While it's been a bit of a wait, the bear's picnic blanket is being spread out on the trading floors.
"Pass me a baloney sandwich, please". (g)

Best, Earlie

john, down 9% when the naz is up almost 4%? can u spell d-i-v-e-r-g-e-n-c-e? ho ho ho ho ho!!!

hey, i bet txn and intel are selling short to lock in profits while they are still there... they see the disaster ahead and they won't risk holding this bag past y2k w/o locking in the profits.

while everyone waits for 3/31, intel and txn sell, sell, sell short from $80 to ?????

when will it stop??? and how the heck did they let it get to $80 before laughing like crazy as they hit the sell button???

can we get another strong buy??? going once, going twice, tell me once, tell me thrice ;-)
