When they look at the burn rate of their migs and tanks, they'll (hopefully) come to their senses. Has bombing brought Hussein to his knees? Did years of bombing bring us victory in Vietnam? Did the V-bombs on London win the war for Hitler? Can you name a single instance in which aerial bombing alone achieved military victory? A country the size of Yugoslavia has the ability to absorb a huge amount non-nuclear bombing without having to capitulate. (And at $750,000 to $1 million per cruise missile, how much do we think this bombing campaign is worth to the American taxpayers? What social programs at home will be curtailed because of the amount of money we're pouring into damage and destruction in this minor country? We just don't learn.
