You guys are driving me crazy with the use of the word takeover.
No one takes over QWST unless QWST wants to be taken over. QWST with the Anschutz trust controls about 49% of the stock. With ownership that high someone just doesn't come, make a bid and take you over.

It has nothing to do with QWST market cap either.

I would expect about a 30% premium on any takeover, so if QWST has a market cap of $30 billion, that would make the cost of any takeover about $40 billion. Not spare change for anyone. Joint venture, strategic alliance, words like that seem more apropos.
