Shane,

Assessing management is an intangible. Does anybody know what Kealy did before coming to IFCI? What is his track record?

He stated that the volume of work for planned expansion by telecoms and cable companies will outstrip ALL present construction capacity domestically. If you look at Corning's (symbol: GLW) stock performance since last summer this would appear to be true. The fact that they may be selective in their bids and will seek out the most lucrative, long-term contracts is a big positive.

If anybody drags up any dirt on Kealy, let us know.

Ausdauer

Shane,
I have had a chance to meet both the CEO and the CFO, and I would say that they both come across as straightforward, decent and very hard working. If there was a criticism, I would probably say that they might be a bit 'green' and are taking on quite a bit considering the number of acquisitions and the rate at which their company is growing.

I am personally not worried about their lack of commitment to the 4th quarter numbers. They probably released their numbers shortly after they received their audited numbers from BDO, and they had probably not worked out the details of whether the specific dates of all the transactions related to the acquisitions had agreed with their unaudited numbers - but its probably not more than a penny or two at most. Still, I see that the method they used for the acquisitions has caused the confusion on Yahoo.

Institutional holdings have moved from around 500,000 to over 5 million in the last year. I would suspect two groups are moving this stock. The institutions accumulate and another group buys in the 6s and sells in the 8s or 9s (and maybe shorts it from there). I expect that we will continue to see that oscillation until the institutions decide its time to move it up. With strong second quarter numbers expected, I expect that to occur between now and then.
