Is there a way that you know of that an ISP can prevent the use of a proxy to have multiple machines on one IP address? I thought they had no way of controlling that other than to drop the customer if they discovered they were doing it and it was against their policy.

Frank & John

Based upon my conversations with PacBell re: ADSL & Flashcom re: IDSL from Covad, I have been informed that BOTH offer static IP addresses. Flashcom claimed it only offered a static IP address (which I felt to be a negative). But according to PacBell, its ADSL service also provides a static IP.
