SO: It looks like the bulls have been corralled on the MDA thread.

No corral needed...heck, most of the bulls just stop posting when the Markets seems to be going South. Where have you been? <g>

Heck, the bears don't disappear when the reverse is true...slow down maybe but still they remain! <g>

This Thread is healthest when it has a good mix of both. I proclaim to be neither...<g>

Regards,
LG

StockOperator,

Havent seen you in awhile.

>>>>> I've noticed that most of the recent surge in postings are decidedly bearish. It looks like the bulls have been corralled on the MDA thread. Which should make us all wonder whether or not the smart money is once again sending out signals, contrary to where prices will ultimately breakout. <<<<<

I too feel it is wise to look at the contrarian position, playing the devil's advocate. Yes it does seem that the majority on this thread are now bearish, some mediocre bearish, some very bearish calling a crash, but overall bearish.

Taking the contrarian position, it would imply that it may actually turn bullish, using the MDA thread as a judge of the overall market. On our thread there are probably about 10-15 MDA posters who are expressing bearishness in earnest. Now is that a judge of the overall market.

I normally check with my broker buddies from large firms, and this morning the small money is still buying and all of these brokers, over 10 of them are still making fun of me for being bearish and one even called me stupid. Thats ok, I grew up with him since childhood, and he is definitely the bigger idiot. ggggggggggggg

A few of them say they are cautious and the majority are still soliciting hard to buy.

Most of the analysts on CNBC are saying that they are cautious but few are recommending to sell. Even Barton Biggs, this morning on CNBC, one of the more influential bears, did not recommend to sell, but basicly said that he was not sure and sitting on the sidelines. He even quoted from the JAPAN market in the late 1980's, which was something on the line that idiots are those who are chasing the high valued stock, but the bigger idiots are the ones on the sidelines. He then said he fell in the "BIGGER IDIOT" group, since he is on the sidelines. Now we all now know what happened to the JAPAN market in the 1990's, so who was the bigger idiot.ggggggggggggg

Im never sure of anything and alway try to remain conservative with my position, but is it possible that the bearish feeling of the MDA thread could be right, since they are really the minority - theres only about 10 of us here expressing strongly some sort of bearishness.
There are probably more than 10, but they are not expressing it loudly

It amazes me that such a few number of bearish poster 10-15, could be considered a representation of the overall market. If these 10-15 posters are wrong, then the majority was right, and the contrarian position was wrong.
