Don,

First of all, I hope you've been well. My comments in regards to the bearishness is directed solely at this thread. I too realize that the class of investors on this thread does NOT represent mainstream American. I do believe that most of the posters that hang here are by and large a pretty savy group. But yet an opinion can often become infectious. Especially when that opinion is backed by a swift downdraft in prices. It is truly amazing how quickly some of the bulls (posters) changed midstream after the markets failure to hold the 10,000 level. Of course its important to make the distinction between trading the intermediate market swings and the longer term outlook. But yet I feel many have been whipsawed back and forth with all the volatility. It's the long term picture that counts most during periods of market consolidation. And with the DOW at 9800 I do not feel the activity in the avgs the past few weeks has signaled the end of this bull run.

I realize breadth has been lousy. But yet there is money being made if you are in the right sectors. Those bandwidth stocks I've pointed out a few weeks ago have powered ahead. The internet group has also been very strong. With many of the smaller stocks in that group building a solid base of consolidation right now! A breakout is close at hand.

Taking a break from posting has been very refreshing for me. My wife and I have been house hunting lately and I've realized that I have neglected some things. Plus it's given me time to reflect on what my time spent here should be all about. I think for many of us it all breaks down to making money. So I hope to add more timely insights on areas that will do just that.

Good trading
