I would buy them as a primary computer and why shoudn't I? How low is the problem rate with DELL's? PCs are by their nature somewhat unreliable -- some moreso than others, to be sure, but how much is it worth to me personally to know that a PC has a 1/50 failure rate over say a 1/25?

Not a whole helluva a lot because, the software is even more unreliable still ...

Alohal: Some people in business obviously make their PC buying decisions based on cost of the product alone while completely ignoring the Total Cost of Ownership and more often than not they come to regret the decision sooner than they think. It never fails I am telling ya.

I am sure our fellow 'threadster' who deployed eMachines in his business will find this out soon enough, give him some time.

Sure, these machines will replace our existing primary machines. There will be no others.
