Let's not forget that today's PR was not originated by Xybernaut. They were sourced by DCHT and KANA. Xybernaut has had only two press releases so far this month, not that this is significant.

I'm looking forward to a satisfying week coming up, as numbers will be released for Q4 (My bet is for release before open Tuesday, but logic says Wednesday). I suspect that MA-IV sales will look quite similar to FAB's projections, and the long delay for formal presentation of Q4 numbers will allow some interesting mention of latebreaking Q1 estimates and informal Q2 projections.

Of interest to me would be mention of the number of customers Xybernaut now sells to (I don't expect this will be released, as some customers will want their interest in the MA-IV kept secret). I'm not so interested in order size because present sales are seeding development of large scale wearable applications within these early customers.

I believe that MA-IV industrial sales trends will indicate a solid uptrend in volume for the next few quarters. I suspect (purely my opinion) there will be two new products in the Xybernaut line-up within a year to keep growth accelerating. First will be the high-end Alpha wearable, next will be the new MA-V. Price range will hang around $4500-$6000 due to increased performance (industry needs a performance wearable, not an economy wearable).

In two years The Alpha and Pentium wearables will get another performance boost while maintaining their price points, while a third family of wearable PC will be introduced at a $2950 price point for industrial applications.

In three years the three families of Xybernaut product will undergo their annual performance uptick, and a fourth family of wearables will be introduced at the $1950 price point. This will be the first wearable aimed squarely the consumer, but applicable to low-end industrial applications.

In four years, the four families of Xybernaut product will get their annual performance uptick, but the price of the consumer wearable will be slashed to $1250 due to advances in technology and economies of scale.

Year five will debut several consumer-oriented wearables and prices ranging from $950 to $6000.

This is only my opinion, and projecting more than one year out is obviously just a fantasy exercise. Still, indicators have me optimistic about Xybernaut's future right now.

Shoe.
