Re: IOM Prospects

IOM needs two things to get its stock moving. First, we have to start seeing Clik! builtin devices appearing in a major way. IOM has been hinting at this for far too long. I don't expect any sustainable price move until we start seeing some delivery on this promise. The Sony Mavica is the most popular digital camera on the market because of its use of standard floppy disks as a recording media despite their obvious drawbacks in physical size and limited storage capacity. The time is ripe for Clik! to capitalize on this phenomenon. I recently bought a Mavica because I was tired of waiting for IOM to get its Clik! act together, and I'm sure I'm not alone in that regard.

Second, IOM must slash its media prices. The company seems so obsessed with maintaining media margins that they seem to have forgotten that margins are no good without volume. An immediate across-the-board 50% reduction in Zip, Jaz, and Clik! media unit prices would result in an explosion of sales which would quickly offset any reduced margins. And at current price levels, I cannot see how such action would have a negative impact on the stock price. On the contrary, I believe the Street would welcome evidence that IOM is serious about maintaining and growing its ownership position in the removable storage market.

Re: our guy is still holding and will buy more.

Will be adding to my shares as well, we could see some margin activity
that would be opportunistic. We're selling complete $800 systems
and adding zip drives in about 1/3 of them.
