Yep. Today I've gotten three different prices for the same system. The first was $1029 and I got it clicking through home/home office and dimension links. The second time I got $1,048 the same way.

Then I was told about this other link and presto, $999 for what appears to be the same machine and specs.

I have printouts of the first two, by the way. All is identical except for the price.

So, what's up? Is Dell experimenting today with price vs. demand or trying to figure if they can get a higher price for the same box depending upon how a customer comes to them? Very interesting in any event.

Looks like $1404 for that $999 box that will be pitifully obsolete before it's paid for.
